Bulgaria Establishes Professional Association of Executive Search Consultants

The Bulgarian Executive Search Association (BESA), which includes AESC members Boyden and Stanton Chase International, aims to raise the professional level of executive search services in Bulgaria via ethical standards, market research, information campaigns and lobbying for adequate legislation of the industry.

Chairwoman Daniela Ossikovska, Managing Partner of Boyden, stated: “My idea of establishing a professional association of executive search companies dates before the crisis but nowadays the market environment is more adequate for starting the activity of the organization. The crisis is the accelerator for screening the quality of this service in Bulgaria. This is the reason for the fact that our criteria for membership are strict. Unfortunately we are still not able to be a chapter of AESC since only two of our companies are members of AESC, but I am optimistic that this will be possible in future.”

The plans of BESA for the coming months are the organization of a round table on executive search with the participation of clients, consultants and state administration as well as the commissioning of a survey about client satisfaction and the ways of improving the quality level of the services.
